Am I going crazy? I haven’t blogged since the fall and it is almost Spring! Well, I am back and excited to give our supporters some updates.
It’s been a long, cold winter but if Valentine’s Day was any indication of our hopes for spring, it should be a lovely, blooming springtime. We are so happy and grateful for all of your support this past week and had the times of our lives designing and delivering gorgeous floral arrangements to your Valentines. There is truly nothing better than seeing the happy faces of people in receipt of a stunning flower bouquet. We couldn’t have made people smile without your support – so THANK YOU!
If you have been by the shop, you have noticed that “Love is in the air” here and we are welcoming the thoughts, feelings, and pleasures of springtime now too. We have several products that can be enjoyed now and always about which we are thrilled to tell our guests.
1. We are an exclusive retailer of a new local honey from Urban Hives. Their bee colonies are working hard in the city and county limits of St. Louis to give us the most delicious and supremely local honey available. We are proud to support this up-and-comer and it is with great pleasure to know that, together, we are serving up health, happiness, and healing with this natural medicine. Urban Hives honey is available at Garden Party in 4 oz. and 16 oz glass jars. Give it a try!
2. Personalize your indoor or outdoor garden with custom-painted flower pots by Lori Willis. Lori is most talented and flower pots are transformed by her beautiful stroke. Design your own or choose from a selection in the shop. Popular hand-painted designs include: the front of a home, a forest scene, and a favorite bird or birds. Stop in and see our selection.
3. Bunnies are popping up all around our store as Easter approaches! We are looking forward to finding homes for these cute creatures. What a fun way to celebrate spring and Easter than with a bunny for your garden or mantle…and one that won’t eat your blooming plants!
Finally, Garden Party is hosting a night out on Monday, March 11 from 4 PM to 8 PM in support of a terrific organization called Women In Charge. We will serve wine and hors d’oeuvres and a portion of all shopping proceeds will benefit Women In Charge, which provides academic instruction, counseling, spiritual guidance, and confidence building. The goal is for participants of the program to pass the Missouri HiSET (High School Equivalency Test) and become strong, independent women. We welcome you and your friends to join us and hope to see you here!
